This character Juliet is a very dear one to my heart. Her story is one filled with sorrow.

*Story tiem commences*
Juliet was a bastard child of two noble families. A vampire and a waterfey. She was kept within the Rose court of the vampires with her half brother and she watched his rise to happiness with Adora until she was murdered. This started the mutiny of the black and white Rose courts.
Regina the monarch of the Black Rose court crushed the white court and held a dictator like power over the vampires for centuries. The nobles had become toys to the cruel queen and Juliet was often made to sit and watch the cruel entertainment their false queen enjoyed.
During this period of time she met a man, Arlen who was a gentle and kind soul yet scared her because he was a human man with strange gifts.
Their secret love grew and soon a jealous maid reported them to her mistress. The whole court was gathered up to watch the punishment that would befall the mortal for daring to romance with one of the most respected women of the court. Even the precious Butterfly was set free and made to watch the horrendous killing of Arlen.
Juliet was heartbroken however Arlen didn't die. Uisge, Juliet's pet watersnake, held Arlen's soul inside and though she sees him there he is nothing but a dumb animal.
Juliet then took it upon herself to nurse a gyrmay Seig and take comfort and friendship upon the poor man. His tales of his wife and brother made her hope. It was her half brother and the butterfly who ultimately freed her and the rest of them from the prison that was the court.

Lol XD I got too into that. The title holds a lot of meaning for me. If anyone has seen the film Ladyhawke, it's my favourite moment in it and I thought this summed the sorrowful Juliet up perfectly.

To clear confusion.... Juliet no longer calls Arlen, Arlen she calls him Uisge now due to his snake form and lack of memory for her.
